Free Chrome extension

Your training dashboard, on every new tab

Elite Hockey - Training Dashboard is a free Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with your own Elite Hockey HQ dashboard. Every tab answers the three questions that decide your day: what am I training today, what is on tomorrow, and how recovered am I. No extra app to open, no digging for your program.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc. Requires an Elite Hockey HQ account.

What you see on every tab

Today's session, in full

Not just the workout's name — every exercise, sets and reps, in order. When the auto-modulator trims your volume because your recovery is down, you see exactly what it changed and the plain-English reason why. One click starts the session.

Tomorrow, so nothing surprises you

Tomorrow's session, its focus, and a preview of the exercises, so you can plan your evening around it. On a rest day it says so and tells you when your next session lands — a rest day never dead-ends.

Readiness, with the reasoning

Your recovery score and what is driving it: HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, and training load, each measured against your own baseline, plus a 21-day trend. The call comes down to one word — PRIMED, MAINTAIN, PULL BACK, or RECOVER.

The numbers that matter

Acute and chronic load, ACWR with its zone (sweet spot, caution, high risk), training monotony, any personal record you set today, and how far through your program you are.

Next game

A countdown to your next faceoff, and a GAME DAY banner when it is today that links straight to game-day nutrition.

One click to the rest of it

Shortcuts to Train, Nutrition, Analytics, your AI Coach, and Shot Lab sit at the bottom of every tab, so the whole platform is one click from wherever you are.

How to install it

  1. 1

Add it from the Chrome Web Store

Open the listing and click Add to Chrome. It is free, and it works in Chrome and other Chromium browsers such as Edge, Brave, and Arc.

  2. 2

    Approve the two permissions

Chrome asks for local storage (for your sign-in token) and access to elitehockeyhq.com (to read your own training data). That is the whole list.

  3. 3

Open a new tab and sign in

Sign in with the Elite Hockey HQ account you already use. Your sessions, readiness, and program progress fill in immediately.

A WHOOP is optional. Connect one and your readiness score stays current on its own. Without one you still get your sessions, program progress, load analytics, and game schedule — the readiness panel simply tells you it has nothing to read yet instead of inventing a number.

What it does not do

A new tab extension sits in front of everything you do in your browser, so the honest thing to publish is the list of what it never touches. This one talks to elitehockeyhq.com and nothing else. It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, or your bookmarks. It runs no code on other websites. There are no ads, no trackers, and no analytics of its own.

It is a read-only view of the account you already have. It requests exactly two permissions — local storage, for the sign-in token and a check-in streak counter, and access to our own domain, to read your training data. Every asset ships inside the package: the extension fetches JSON data only, never executable code. Full detail on what is sent and stored lives in our privacy policy.

  • Two permissions, both justified. Local storage and our own domain. Nothing else is requested.
  • Read-only. It displays your training data; it does not write to your account from the new tab.
  • No third parties. No ad networks, no trackers, no analytics of its own, and nothing sold or transferred.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Elite Hockey extension free?
Yes. The extension itself is free from the Chrome Web Store. It is a companion to Elite Hockey HQ and requires an account to sign in to, so what it can show you depends on the plan your account is on.
Do I need an Elite Hockey HQ account?
Yes. The extension is a read-only view of your own training data, so it shows nothing until you sign in on the new tab with the account you already use. You can create a free account and sign in from the extension itself.
Do I need a WHOOP?
No. A WHOOP is optional. Connect one and your recovery readiness stays current on its own. Without one you still get today and tomorrow’s sessions, program progress, load analytics, and your game schedule — the readiness panel tells you it has nothing to read yet rather than showing an invented number.
Does it work in browsers other than Chrome?
Yes. It is a standard Chrome extension, so it installs from the Chrome Web Store in other Chromium-based browsers too, including Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Arc.
Can it see the websites I visit?
No. The extension talks to elitehockeyhq.com and nothing else. It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, or your bookmarks, and it runs no code on other websites. It requests two permissions: local storage for your sign-in token, and access to our own domain to read your training data.
What exactly does it show on a new tab?
Today’s session with every exercise, sets, and reps; tomorrow’s session and its focus; your recovery readiness with the HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, and load behind it; acute and chronic load with ACWR and training monotony; any personal record you set today; your program progress; and a countdown to your next game.
How do I remove it?
Right-click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome, or open chrome://extensions and remove it there. Uninstalling clears the token stored on your device and your new tab page returns to normal.

Put your next session on every tab
