We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use Elite Hockey HQ.

We only collect the information necessary to provide our services and improve your experience. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we share it only as needed to operate the app.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with Elite Hockey HQ, we collect different types of information to deliver our services and keep your account secure. This may include your name, email address, team or organization details, billing information, workout preferences, performance metrics, and technical data such as device identifiers, browser type, and usage logs.

We also gather aggregated insights about how features are used so we can improve training programs and optimize the platform. Aggregated data is de-identified and does not reveal who you are.

How We Use Your Data

We process your data to provide a tailored training experience, ensure the platform functions properly, and communicate with you about relevant updates. Typical uses include:

  • Authenticating your account and keeping your sessions secure.
  • Delivering personalized training plans, recommendations, and performance analytics.
  • Responding to support requests, sending critical service notifications, and sharing optional product tips.
  • Analyzing platform performance and developing new features that better serve the hockey community.

We rely on legitimate interests, contractual necessity, and, where required, your consent as the legal bases for processing personal data.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We limit sharing to trusted partners who help us provide our services, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics services, payment processors, and customer support tools. These partners must adhere to strict confidentiality and security obligations and may only use your data in line with our instructions.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users, or to defend our legal rights. We do not sell personal data and we prohibit partners from using it for their own marketing.

Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets first-party _ga cookies (and related _ga_* cookies) that store an anonymous identifier used to measure aggregate, de-identified usage such as page views and visits. These analytics cookies do not record your name, email, or health and performance data.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and Google Signals is turned off, so your activity is not used to build an advertising profile or to track you across other sites.

You can opt out of analytics at any time. Use your browser's cookie controls to block or delete the _ga cookies, or install Google's official opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Opting out of analytics does not affect your ability to use Elite Hockey HQ.

Training Dashboard Browser Extension

Elite Hockey - Training Dashboard is our free browser extension. It replaces your browser's new tab page with your own Elite Hockey HQ dashboard: today's and tomorrow's prescribed session, your recovery readiness, and your program progress. It is a read-only view of the account you already have, it works only while you are signed in, and it collects nothing beyond what is described in this policy. When you use the extension, the following information is sent to Elite Hockey HQ:

  • Account and authentication information. Signing in from the extension submits your email address and password to our servers, exactly as signing in on the website does. We return an access token that the extension stores on your device and sends with each request to identify you, along with your name and membership status.
  • Health and performance information. To show your readiness, the extension requests your own recovery score, heart rate variability, sleep, resting heart rate, and training-load metrics — including data synced from a connected wearable such as WHOOP. This information is only read and displayed; the extension never changes your record.
  • Training information. Your scheduled sessions and their exercises, your program progress, and your game schedule, so each new tab can show what you are training and when you next play.

The extension keeps only three things on your device, in your browser's local extension storage: your access token, your check-in streak count, and an optional server address used for development. None of it is written to your browser's synced storage, and signing out or removing the extension deletes it.

The extension asks for permission to contact elitehockeyhq.com and no other website. It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, your bookmarks, or the contents of any other tab; it runs no code on third-party sites; and it includes no analytics or advertising software of its own — the Google Analytics described above applies to our website, not to the extension. The information it handles is used solely to show you your own dashboard. We do not sell or transfer it to third parties, use it for any purpose unrelated to that dashboard, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Data Security

Safeguarding your information is central to how we operate. We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are designed to protect against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. This includes role-based access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where applicable, regular security reviews, and employee privacy training.

Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update many account details directly within the platform. If you need to review, correct, export, or delete additional information, contact us and we will respond promptly in line with applicable laws. You may also opt out of non-essential communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or adjusting your notification settings.

Data Retention and Transfers

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. If we transfer information across borders, we do so in accordance with relevant data protection laws and implement safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
