The sessions

Two sessions, every week.

ASession A

Jump, Land & Balance

Learn to land before you learn to jump higher. Landing, jumping and one-leg balance — the skills every stride, stop and battle is built on — plus the groin and core work that keep a growing body on the ice.

  1. 01Land & Jump
  2. 02Skater Jumps
  3. 03Balance & Squat
  4. 04Groin & Core
BSession B

Speed, Throw & Crawl

Quick feet, fast hands and a strong trunk. Change of direction while the legs are fresh, light medicine-ball throws for the shot, then crawling, pushing and pulling — all of it bodyweight or a light ball.

  1. 01Quick Feet
  2. 02Throws
  3. 03Crawl, Push & Pull
  4. 04Hips & Core
Week by week

Six weeks, start to finish.

Each week runs sessions A to B. Open any one of them on its own.

  1. Week01

Week 1 is about learning the shapes. Every rep is practice, so make every one look the same.

  2. Week02

Same movements, a little more of them. Only add where the form held up last week.

  3. Week03

Some drills move up a level this week. Quality still beats quantity, every set.

  4. Week04

An easier week on purpose — growing bodies and a busy hockey schedule need one. Keep it short and crisp.

  5. Week05

The most work of the block, and still nothing is a max and nothing goes to failure.

  6. Week06

Show what you learned: measure your best broad jump, then start the block again at week 1. The same drills done better is real progress.

Ready when you are
